The presenting author of an accepted abstract should register and complete the full payment before May 30th, 2026, in order to be included in the final Programme.

All abstract submissions should be entered through the submission portal below. 

The ECMP congress programme will include selected oral communications and e-poster presentations on the following topics:

  • Radiotherapy.

  • Diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine.

  • Diagnostic and interventional radiology – Medical Imaging.

  • MRI and other Non ionising modalities including audiology, lasers.

  • Radiation Protection and Dosimetry.

  • Innovative Therapy Techniques.

  • Novel Imaging Approaches and Technologies.

  • Theragnostics.

  • Radiobiology.

  • Biomedical engineering.

  • Informatics and Data Science.

  • Artificial Intelligence and imaging Biomarkers.

All accepted abstracts will be published in a supplement of EFOMP’s journal, the European Journal of Medical Physics (EJMP), at early August 2026 before the Congress.

General Abstract Guidelines

  • The abstracts for the oral presentations as well as for the posters will be submitted via the submission form. If necessary, a separate Word file may include other materials, such as the title page, Table of contents, author index, etc. 

  • Any subject and/or author index to be included should also be submitted by the deadline. 

  • Abstract submissions should be single spaced. 

  • Additions and deletions of abstracts may be possible with the following caveats: 
    o Additions can only be made until the deadline. 

  • In case that the authors do not meet the guidelines, the organization committee reserves the right to edit the information provided by the authors in the abstract, specifically in the fields: “authors”, “work center” and “province/state”, in order to meet the guidelines indicated above. 

  • Abstract title: Each abstract title should be formatted in sentence case. 

    • Authors:
      o Every author should be listed with initials (with punctuation) and last name.
      o If the presenting/corresponding author is to be identified, indicate in the platform in every abstract. 
    • All authors who sign the work must be indicated on the platform by completing the following fields: Name and Last name, Mail, Work Center, City and Country. 
  • Author affiliations: 
    o Number each affiliation and list them in sentence case for every author. If an author has multiple affiliations, indicate the numbers for each. 

  • Abstract text: 
    o If headings are appropriate, format headings (with the colon) in boldface. 
    o If any abstracts include references, cite them by number in brackets before the sentence punctuation (e.g., [1].). Do not superscript reference numbers.

  • Abstract title: Each abstract title should be formatted in sentence case.

  • Authors:

  • Author affiliations:

  • Graphics/Tables:
    o Any graphics should be cited accordingly (Figure 1, Table 1, etc.).
    o Figures should be clearly identified by abstract number and submitted in vector or highresolution image files.
    o Tables must be formatted as tables, not with tabs or line breaks to manually align text.
