Discover Valencia: A Destination of Contrasts.

Valencia is a place full of contrasts that captivates its visitors. Its charming old town mixes with futuristic buildings, creating a unique atmosphere. This city, considered one of the most welcoming in Spain and recognized for several years as the best city in the world to live in, is ideal to spend a few days.

Besides enjoying its vibrant culture, there is nothing better than strolling through its streets or relaxing on its Mediterranean beaches. And, of course, you can’t leave without trying the authentic Valencian paella and other delicacies such as horchata with fartons!

Any time is a good time to visit Valencia, but if you have the opportunity to visit in March, don’t hesitate! “Las Fallas” is a very impressive spectacle that you will not want to miss.

The combination of the Mediterranean light, the mild weather and the festive atmosphere make Valencia a place where you will surely want to stay, I hope you enjoy your visit!

A Cultural Visit

Valencia is perfect for exploring on foot. One of the most fascinating places is the Plaza de la Reina, where you will find the Cathedral and the emblematic Miguelete Tower. Don’t miss the opportunity to climb its 207 steps for spectacular views!

In the city center, you can also visit the Lonja de la Seda, one of the most beautiful buildings in Valencia and a World Heritage Site, with its charming Patio de los Naranjos full of orange trees.  In addition, you can’t miss exploring the Central Market, the largest fresh produce market in Europe, where strolling among its colorful stalls is an experience.

A few steps away, you will find the National Museum of Ceramics with its impressive facade, as well as the Quart and Serrano Towers. There are also museums such as the IVAM and many surprising corners full of urban art. If you go a little further away from the center, you will discover the most modern face of Valencia: the City of Arts and Sciences. Designed by Santiago Calatrava and Félix Candela, this complex has become a symbol of the city, with buildings such as the Oceanogràfic, the largest aquarium in Europe. Its original forms are the perfect backdrop for a memorable photo.

Enjoy the gastronomy in front of the sea

There is no better plan than visiting one of the beautiful beaches and enjoying a delicious paella by the sea. Valencia has more than 300 days of sunshine a year, and Malvarrosa beach is one of the most popular options. Upon arrival, the fine golden sand and blue water will remind you of Sorolla’s famous paintings depicting the city. Who could resist a dip in the sea?

If you are looking for more ‘wild’ landscapes, you can visit Pinedo, El Saler or El Palmar and taste its famous paella where it originally comes from.

To end the day, there is nothing like watching the sunset in the Albufera, a navigable lake by the sea known as the ‘mirror of the sun’, where you can enjoy the best sunsets in the Mediterranean.

The beach is not the only outdoor plan; you can also stroll through the extensive Turia garden or make a family visit to the Bioparc.

When night falls, there is nothing better than relaxing on a terrace or in an innovative restaurant, perhaps with a Michelin star, and enjoying the vibrant nightlife of El Carmen or the new trendy areas for food lovers, such as Ruzafa.
